Our People

In 2018, Casey Hansel, chemical engineer, soap maker and crafter, officially launched Hansel Handmade, LLC. The idea of a creative family business had been brewing for years, but it was Casey who finally founded it with her soaps and candles. Casey has always loved crafting and has been creating eco-friendly designs since her high school days. You can see some of her earliest designs here: http://www.greenecoservices.com/reuse-plastic-make-clothes-by-casey-hansel/

Mike Hansel, a sculptor, beekeeper and art educator, has been creating large scale steel and aluminum sculpture and tending bees for over 30 years. The honey and wax he harvests from his hives in New England are used in many of our products. Check out Mike’s sculpture at mikehansel.com.

Designer, artist, gardener, and yogi, Lisa Hansel has gained years of experience as a creative problem solver and loves to find solutions that are both functional and well made. Her attention to detail and desire to live simply and sustainably, have inspired many of the products she creates.

Amanda Hansel, crafter, artist, and animal lover has been involved in a lot of behind the scenes work at Hansel Handmade. She helped launch the Magical Portal, our line of thematic ears, and manages the studio where soaps are made.

Kristofer Flynn, mechanical engineer and bike enthusiast, is HH's "behind the scenes" builder and facilities man. He recently transformed our soap room and office into a functional workspace, equipped with camera and microphones mounts for easy documentation of the soap making process. No detail goes unnoticed under Kristofer’s  watch.

Kelsey Flynn, aesthetician and owner/founder of Eyebrows by Kelsey.

Crocheter extraordinaire, loving grandmother, mother and sister, Ceath Baldani is passionate about the items she crafts with yarn. She’s meticulous and dedicated and loves to start her day, at the crack of dawn, with a few hours of crocheting.
